Faction storylines that actually remember your choices
This is the most consistently requested change across the fanbase. Skyrim's guild questlines are well loved but famously linear, you can become the leader of the Thieves Guild or the Companions in a handful of hours regardless of what you did along the way. Fans want factions that branch based on earlier decisions, remember reputation, and let choices in one storyline ripple into others, closer to how Fallout: New Vegas handled its factions than how recent Elder Scrolls games have.
A denser, more reactive world
Building on the lesson from Starfield's mixed reception to procedural generation, the wishlist here is consistent: fewer, richer locations over a bigger but emptier map. That means NPC schedules that feel genuinely alive, weather and seasons that affect gameplay rather than just visuals, and settlements that grow or change based on world events instead of staying static for the entire game.
Real naval and overland travel
Fast travel has been a series staple since Oblivion, but a lot of fans want meaningful alternatives to actually enjoy, real ships and sailing given Hammerfell's coastline is the leading setting theory, caravans, and overland routes that make the journey itself worth taking instead of something to skip past.
Deeper werewolf and vampire progression
Skyrim's take on lycanthropy and vampirism was widely seen as underbaked relative to how much lore exists around both. Fans want a real progression system for supernatural transformations, with meaningful gameplay and story consequences instead of a largely cosmetic status effect.
Combat that finally catches up to the rest of the genre
Combat has never been the series' strongest point, and after Starfield's more grounded shooting mechanics, fans are hoping some of that responsiveness carries over into melee and magic combat for TES VI, without losing the freeform spellcrafting and hybrid builds the series is known for.
While you wait, revisit what got the wishlist started.
